Tier 2 punishes scattergun spending. You have enough options to make expensive mistakes and not enough income to absorb them.
Commit to one car
Pick a single balanced car and take it as far as it needs to go rather than partially upgrading three. A fully sorted average car outperforms three half-finished good ones at this stage.
Prefer forgiving cars
All-wheel-drive and well-balanced cars are worth more here than raw power, because your launches are still inconsistent and a forgiving car converts more of your races into wins.
Learn the tuning loop now
Tier 2 is the cheapest place to learn how grip, final drive and nitrous interact. The habits transfer upward; the money you spend learning them here is trivial compared with learning them in a higher tier.
Keep an earning car
Once your main car clears the content comfortably, treat it as the earning car and start saving deliberately for the next tier rather than upgrading further out of habit.
Do not rush the tier jump
Arriving in Tier 3 with no cash and an over-upgraded Tier 2 car is the classic stall. Move up with a budget, not just with a qualifying car.
