A map, not a menu
This page exists because "CSR2 mods" is one of the most searched phrases in the game's community and almost every result is either a download page or an advert. We publish neither. What follows is a categorisation, so you can understand what is being claimed before you decide anything.
The categories that circulate
Modified APKs. Repackaged builds of the game distributed outside official stores. Because they are re-signed by an unknown party, you are trusting that party with everything the app can access on your device. They also break official updates and platform protections.
Save or data editors. Tools that alter local or transmitted game data. Server-side validation makes most claimed effects either temporary or detectable.
Account services. Third parties that operate on an account rather than a device. Discussed in detail in our modded accounts guide.
Generators. Web pages promising currency after a "verification" step. These are advertising or credential-harvesting funnels; there is no mechanism by which a website mints in-game currency.
The consistent risk pattern
- Anything installed outside an official store is unsigned trust.
- Anything requiring your credentials is a credential transaction.
- Anything promising a guaranteed outcome is promising something it does not control.
- Anything that works today can be reversed by a server-side update tomorrow.

We cover this topic because ignoring it does not make it safer — but we do not host, link to or endorse modified game files, and we do not publish outcome guarantees.
