The game pairs you by performance points. That makes a slightly under-tuned car with a perfect driver the cheapest way to climb.
Build a dedicated ladder car
Keep one car tuned for the exact PP bracket you want to farm. Adding a single upgrade can push you into a bracket full of fully fused rivals.
When to withdraw
Withdraw immediately if you fluff the launch in a wager race. The cash saved over a hundred races is worth more than the occasional lucky comeback.
Reading the opponent
Watch their first two gears. A rival who pulls away early and then flattens out is running short gearing — you will catch them before the line if you hold your shifts.
